We reached out to BWAK to cater our 100-person wedding back in 2021, and we were immediately blown away at the tasting. More than any other caterer we reached out to, they took into account what we were looking for and created a super customized menu that somehow managed to bring together Chinese and Ukranian flavours into a pescatarian feast with lots of vegan-friendly options. In the lead up to our wedding, Joey at BWAK worked closely with us in figuring out the schedule and logistics, and took a lot off our plates by managing rentals, set-up, etc. On the day of the wedding, everyone at BWAK went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely and also very professional, and went above and beyond - including replacing a few lightbulbs in the venue that had burnt out, without us having to say anything! - and kept everything running smoothly. And the food was absolutely delicious: everything perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by all. Thanks everyone at BWAK!
I stopped here for a quick bite and to peek at the catering menu, and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is a playground of classic dishes with some intriguing twists, proving they’ve got the chops to mix things up confidently. I grabbed a poke bowl, and it hit all the right notes. This place has officially made it onto our corporate gatherings catering shortlist, and I can't wait to see what else they whip up.
Cool spot, it is technically 2 food serving spots. There is a deli at the front with a row of window seating and a grill at the back which is where I had a lunch meeting. Burgers were good, soup was also good. They have a beer menu as well. Note parking on the deli side, which is where Google sends you, is limited. The "back" side or grill side has more options.

Boy With A Knife is simply “One of the BEST” restaurants in Richmond and the Lower Mainland, eat inside or on the patio. I arrived at about 2:17pm just before they were to close at 2:30pm. I was thinking they may not be able to serve me for a late lunch. Boy, was I wrong! Sally, my amazing and welcoming server said, no problem, come on in!! I ordered the C.B.A., a Chicken, Bacon, Avocado sandwich, on a super yummy brioche bun with red onion, lettuce and tomato. But, I switched out the bacon for smoked cheddar cheese and instead of Jalapeno Ranch dressing I opted for Garlic Mayo. OMG! Jody, the chef is so good at his job, honestly you’ve got to try this, it’s absolutely delicious. I also upgraded the regular fries for the heavenly, Garlic, Parmesan Fries, which were piled high on my plate looking like some kind of cool architectural design!! The side of garlic mayo dip is the tastiest one I’ve had!! Between the wonderful welcoming Sally, David and Chef Jody and the mouthwatering food, BWAK is a hit and a place you just have to visit!! It’s a restaurant bar open only in the daytime and has a deli for morning take outs!! You’re gonna love it!!
Excellent spot for a casual lunch - mostly take out, with a few spots for a quick dine in. The sandwiches were delicious - good quality ingredients and fair prices. We appreciated the couple of picnic tables they had out front as we had just come from a walk and had had our dog with us.
Had a business lunch meeting here. The Buffalo Cauliflower burger is awesome. Good and service. It is very convenient place for business meeting on Viking way. Plenty of spots and also has Patio to enjoy sun. Noticed most of the people were recurring customers from offices around.
